March at Barrett Automotive Group

March brought a mix of exciting developments and unique challenges to our facility. Big endeavors are in the works. We began the month looking to bring more eyes to some ongoing projects with a refresh of our Instagram page. On it, we’ll post important news and interesting information on all things related to our projects and cars. Check us out and follow @barrettautomotivegroup. Now, on to a review of March.

Our Jeep Gladiator received huge changes right off the bat. After a visit to Ghost Shield for full-body paint protection film and some matte black vinyl accents, a 5” lift from Fabtech was installed by Duval Offroad. With more room under the fenders, we had Coastline Motorsport source some 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 18” Black Rhino Arsenal wheels. Lastly, we had Line-X of Simi Valley spray the JT’s 60” bed with their virtually indestructible coating. The truck now sits considerably higher, rides noticeably better, and looks much more like the aggressive offroader Jeep intended it to be. After some additional accessories are installed (including a winch, a few LED lights, and some bed organization implements), we should be ready to hit the trails.

In addition to improving vehicles, we’re working on improving our building. Construction of a members-only lounge is now underway. We removed the corporate-looking carpet, destroyed the boring drop ceilings, and built the foundation of what will become a full-fledged coffee & espresso bar. With views that overlook the hills and garage and space for working and socializing, we anticipate some good times and an epic launch event for this space in the coming months.

Finally, we made major progress in bolstering and organizing our on-site detailing arsenal. We now stock an array of chemicals from 3D, Collinite, P&S, and more. Each is dispensed via spray bottle and each spray bottle is backed up with a spicket-topped gallon for easy refills and dilutions. What’s more, a supply of polishers, polishes, and pads arrived to fill the bins of a new, wheeled, 7-tier storage rack. Paint correction and detailing in general are now more organized and efficient.

With March over, we’re doing our best to stay safe, healthy, and productive in this crazy time. We wish all the best to our members, their families, and the automotive community at large. If you’re interested in joining Barrett Automotive Group, we will accommodate. To abide by government regulations and heed professional medical advice, we’re offering virtual tours of our building via whatever video conferencing app is most convenient for you. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as this situation develops.
